The awards will be presented at the Association’s Annual Meeting
Western Wood Producers Assn. (WWPA) has opened nominations for the 2025 Master Lumberman honors. The awards will be presented at the Association’s Annual Meeting on April 14, 2025. Master Lumberman is the industry’s highest career achievement recognition for lumber manufacturing and quality control employees working in Western sawmills.
Member companies have until December 31, 2024 to submit Master Lumberman nominations to WWPA. WWPA’s Master Lumberman Certificate Committee will review nominations and select those individuals who meet the criteria. The award recognizes outstanding lumber grading and quality control professionals who have contributed to their companies and the Western lumber industry. Candidates must be nominated by his or her company, be a WWPA Certified Grader for at least 20 years, have extensive experience in all levels of lumber manufacturing and hold supervisory responsibilities within their company. Since the program began in 1968, only 441 quality control professionals have received the coveted honor.
Nomination applications can be downloaded on the WWPA website. For questions on the award, contact Pete Austin, 503-306-3478 or [email protected].
